Onondaga County 4-H Calf Rodeo

Youth will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare a calf for showing. The younger youth will be learning how to wash, clip and handle a calf while the older youth will be focusing on fitting and toplines and will be evaluated so when they leave with constructive consideration for the future.

Calves will be furnished by Marshfield Farm and all calves will have the proper vaccinations.

Participants should bring:

• Water Bottle-No Glass items
• If you have food allergy, please bring your own lunch as Pizza will be provided.
• Boots or good solid shoes
• If you have any of the following, please bring them
• Rope and Show Halters
• Hose with nozzle, soap, brushes, and Clippers if you have them.
• Show whites if you have them if not a nice white shirt.

All youth who are interested in learning more about how to work with calves are welcome to come and try their hand at preparing and showing a calf.

Registration for the event will close on June 5^th.

All Parents are encouraged to stay for the event.
