Winter Fair will continue its tradition of helping to raise money for important initiatives in the community. The Syracuse-Onondaga County NAACP will return to manage the coat check area. Last year, their portion of the proceeds was $1,000. Winter Fair Hoops also returns, sponsored by Price Chopper/Market 32, to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Syracuse through the Jim & Juli Boeheim Foundation. Last year, free throw shooters raised $3,600 for the organization.
State Fair Director Troy Waffner said, “We’re very happy to have Winter Fair back among the dozens of events that call the New York State Fairgrounds home. It’s a great way to brighten a Central New York winter and we wish Winter Fair a strong and successful second year.”
Presenting sponsor Joe Stanley said, “All of us on the team at Stanley Law are excited to be a part of Winter Fair. It’s a wonderful way to bring our community together. We appreciate the opportunity also to have a presence for our charity Music for the Mission to raise awareness and help those less fortunate in Central NY.”
Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said, “Great events like Winter Fair help drive the economic activity that pays for local government and improves the quality of life for everyone. Here’s to a fun and successful weekend.”
