A showcase of New York State food, drink, bands and merchandise will fill the new Exposition Center at the New York State Fairgrounds Nov. 2-3. Vendors from all over New York State will feature and sell their best NYS-made products, foods, beverages, entertainment & more. Attendees will enjoy food and drink samples, food demonstrations and contests, live pumpkin sculpting and music from bands across the state - the best NYS has to offer!
Bands booked to date include Buffalo natives Spyro Gyra; Rochester natives Danielle Ponder & The Tomorrow People and the Zac Brown Tribute Band; and The Noisy Boys & Mere Mortals from Syracuse
Other live entertainment includes the Maniac Pumpkins, professional pumpkin sculptors from Brooklyn, who will create a life size pumpkin sculpture speed painter Tom Varano will produce colorful artwork.
The event will also feature a Best Of Cider Competition, which will be streamed live on NYup.com. Cider Author Dan Pucci of New York, and his brother Jacob Pucci, author of Nyup.com’s popular “Best Of” features will host a cider seminar, followed by a cider tasting.
“We’re very excited about this event as it will be a showcase for the best of New York State agriculture and for our beautiful new building,” said Troy Waffner, Acting Director of the New York State Fair. “The will be a first-class event, the first of many that will find a new home in Central New York,” he said.
“This event is designed to show off some of the things that makes New York State great – whether it be food, wine, beer, cider, produce, music, or artwork,” said Annette Peters, VP of Marketing for Advance Media New York. “BestFest NYS pulls all these things together in the center of the state, at the New York State Fairground’s new building.”
